- General Information
CreteCarBooking is a car rental company based in Heraklion, Crete. These terms set out the basic rental conditions for all customers and are drafted in accordance with Greek legislation on vehicle rentals, specifically Law 4093/2012 and subsequent regulatory acts governing tourist leases. - Driver’s Age and License
– Accepted driver age: 24 to 70 years old (no additional charge).
– Age 20–23: additional fee of €10/day.
– Valid driving license required for at least 12 months. - Payment Methods
– Payment can be made in cash or by card.
– Accepted cards: VISA and Mastercard (American Express not accepted). - Insurance Coverage
– Super Cover (included in the final price):
– Covers all vehicle damage with zero financial liability and no deposit required.
– Includes full coverage for accident, collision, fire, and theft (except exclusions).
– Not covered: damage to the undercarriage, interior, tires, rims, mirrors, windshield, keys, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
– In cases of gross negligence, violation of terms, or intentional damage, CreteCarBooking reserves the right to claim compensation from the customer, even if the Super Cover package was selected. - Road Assistance
– Basic roadside assistance is included.
– Optional extended assistance: +€3/day. - Second Driver & Child Seats
– Provided free of charge. - Fuel Policy
– The car must be returned with the same fuel level as upon delivery. - Traffic Violations
– The customer is responsible for any fines or violations during the rental period. - Cancellation Policy
– Free cancellation up to 7 days before pickup.
– Within 7 days: 30% of the rental price will be charged. - GPS
– All vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking, activated under specific safety conditions.
– Tampering with or removing the device may result in legal action. - Smoking
– Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. - Island Restrictions
– Vehicles may not be transported outside of Crete without written permission. - Security Deposit
– No deposit is required with Super Cover by default.
– However, if rental conditions are not fully met, we reserve the right to request a deposit.
– Deposit exemption does not apply in cases of negligence or violation of terms. - Damage Price List

CreteCarBooking operates exclusively in Heraklion and Heraklion Airport, Crete.
